Avira MailGate Suite checks the complete incoming and outgoing SMTP data traffic in real-time against viruses, spyware and other dangerous contents. Uncompromising protection: - Scanning of all incoming and outgoing or internally sent emails in real-time.
- Recursive scanning of all email attachments, even of those in compressed form (archives). - Automatic placing of unknown archive formats and infected or suspicious files in quarantine.

New: - New Whitelisting/Blacklisting Feature - MailGate Suite now offers white/black lists for spam classification. It has been implemented similarly to MailGate's scan/ignore lists, but will be used for overriding Avira AntiSpam results.
- Block Spam at the server: Previous versions of MailGate have marked spam in the email header. The mail user agent had then to implement rules (mail filters) to automatically sort out spam.
- Support for MTA Plug-Ins Courier, Communigate Pro and Qmail. Limitations:The Installation Kit comes fully featured but update service (FUSE) is disabled.
